Prevent Seal PVSEAL

Indications

For the preventive sealing of pits and fissures, utilizing the self-etching technique. Sealing with Prevent Seal gives protection to the susceptible tooth surface by protecting them with impenetrable resin layer, which prevents the penetration of bacteria.

Advantages

• Self-etching: No etching or rinsing is required
• Adhesion to the enamel (20 – 25 MPa)
• Light-curing to 4.5 mm
• Application with extra-fine tips: For application of sealant without material loss
• Penetration into grooves and fissures

Tips

• Use air abrasion, then rinse the tooth carefully before applying the sealant. There must be no alumina particles left, as they would compromise Prevent Seal adhesion.
• The prepared surface must be fully dry before applying Prevent Seal, which is hydrophobic.
• Contains the camphorquinone photoinitiator. Use a lightcuring lamp which emits between 400 and 500 nm.
